Join Us on Nov. 14 for the Opening of the New Tallahatchie County Courthouse

The new 2nd District Tallahatchie County Courthouse on the square in Sumner, MS, will have its grand opening ceremony at 10:00 AM on November 14.
A brief ceremony will include remarks from Johnny Goodwin, the President of the Tallahatchie County Board of Supervisors, a representative from the National Park Service, and ETIC Board Chair Rev. Willie Williams. A tour of the building will follow.
Construction on the new courthouse will be completed in October, with financial support from the National Park Foundation. The new facility will serve the court needs of the county, while the courthouse where the Till trial took place can transition to a full-time historic site under the Emmett Till and Mamie Till-Mobley National Monument unit of the National Park Service.
