The Emmett Till Interpretive Center will close at 5 PM on October 1 and will remain closed until the government shutdown ends.

While the Emmett Till & Mamie Till-Mobley National Monument is closed during the government shutdown, the story continues. Visitors can engage with this history through the Emmett Till Memory Project app, by visiting the Mound Bayou Museum and the ETHIC Museum in Glendora, or by exploring our traveling exhibit now open at the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center in Little Rock, AR.
RACIAL RECONCILIATION BEGINS BY TELLING THE TRUTH

We are excited to announce our new membership program.

Member Rewards
A seed: each member will receive a magnolia seed, with soil from Money, Mississippi, where Till was kidnapped, from Sunflower County where Till was tortured and murdered and from the banks of the Tallahatchie River where Till's body was removed. Once you receive your seed, we ask that you plant it in your community. Out of the soil where evil deeds occurred, we hope to grow a powerful new story with your help.

Advance notice of all Emmett Till Interpretive Center events: We hope to hold two main events a year, an annual reenactment of the till trial held in the restored courthouse in Sumner, Mississippi, followed by fellowship and a tour of historic sites led by Till family members and leading historians.
Secondly, an annual racial healing event where we will use arts and storytelling to process past pains and imagine new ways of moving forward. We are planning this event for September 30 to October 1st of 2017 to mark the 10th anniversary of our community's apology to the Till family. As a member, you will be eligible to attend both events and participate in key members-only functions.

A quarterly e-newsletter with updates on our youth programs, stories of racial healing and new announcements.
Recognition in our online membership directory
Voting rights to help ETIC make key decisions
Free all day tour for you and one guest.
